Gila Cliff Dwellings National Monument near Silver City, New Mexico preserves the remote cliff dwelling of the Mogollon from the 1200s. This 533 acre park was established by President Theodore Roosevelt in 1907 and is located in the Gila Wilderness on the headwaters of the Gila River.
