Yosemite National Park Wedding Planning

A Yosemite National Park wedding provides a beautiful backdrop to any wedding vows. A permit is required for all weddings in the park. 

Yosemite View Lodge has two beautiful conference rooms that can hold up to 45 or 60 guests.

Cedar Lodge has a river walk gazebo that can accommodate up to 50 with banquet tables, a master suite that can hold up to 75 or a conference room that can hold up to 175.

Yosemite Valley Chapel can accommodate a wedding ceremony of up to 125 guests. Pre-marriage counseling is required when using the resident minister but not if you are bringing your own minister. The facilities are available for 90 minutes for the ceremony.

Big Trees Lodge (formerly the Wawona Hotel) is an authentic Victorian-era hotel built in 1879 that can accommodate up to 80 guests.

Evergreen Lodge can host weddings with up to 200 guests. Ceremonies are typically performed at a site next to Birch Lake at Camp Mather. The Courtyard provides a romantic, personalized reception and generally gorgeous weather in late spring through early fall. There is a 125 guest minimum from May through October. Wedding packages are available with reservations available up to 2 years in advance.

The Majestic Hotel (formerly the Ahwahnee Hotel) has facilities for an outdoor ceremony and indoor reception accommodating up to 180 guests. The average wedding cost for The Majestic Hotel is between $12,000 and $24,000 for a ceremony and reception of 100 guests according to Wedding Spot.

Tenaya Lodge is located two miles from Yosemite National Park’s southern entrance. It has an outdoor pavilion that can accommodate up to 250 guests and indoor locations that can host between 25 and 675 guests. Site rentals range from $700 to $2,700. Food and beverages range from $45 to $75 per guest with bar estimates of between $18 and $24 per guest. This does not include the wedding cake.

Popular outdoor locations for ceremonies (not mentioned above) include Bridalveil Falls, Glacier Point, and Half Dome Village.
